Jonathan Knipscher, based in New York City, enjoys an international costume design career. His experience is diverse and spans the genres of opera, musical theatre, stage and film. His engagements include Central City Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, Atlanta Opera, Castleton Festival, Opera Grand Rapids, New Orleans Opera, Nevada Opera, Knoxville Opera, Kansas City Repertory Theatre, FIO Americas (Brazil), La Musica Lirica (Italy), as well as major universities across southern and western America. 

In addition to design, Mr. Knipscher spent almost nine seasons as a costume supervisor for the Metropolitan Opera.  Recently, he has expanded into Film and Television working as a lead tailor, specialty costumer, milliner or ager/dyer.  His recent projects include The Irishman (Netflix), The Greatest Showman (20th Century Fox), and Transformers: The Last Knight (Paramount Pictures).
